he is one of the brave faith heroes who sacrificed everything on the altar of our saviour's love who bought us with his blood..

he was born in antioch,his father was minister sedraykhows and his uncle was abtelmawes the king-the father of saint aklodios who was famous in el azab region-and his cousin was st.poktor.

the patriarch was inspired by the holy spirit to call him by this name as he saw first letter of his name(t) on the saint'forehead during his baptism and he olso heard a voice from heaven saying''BLESSED FROM HEAVEN 0 ,YOU TAWADROS''

since his childhood he loved the church and rejected all the glories  and vain of this world and clothed with chasity and cleanness.he joined the army and proved to brave leader.he defeated the persians and his name was well-known everywhere.

michael-the archangel-appeared to him more the once and he olso saw the ladder,which jacob had seen.out of spite and hatred king dekledianos arrested him and crucified him on a high tree nailing his body with 153 nails.

he was crowned as a martyr on 12 toba(the fifth month of the coptic calender),306 A.D and the church celebrates him the day following the epiphany.
